Aloha, I'm Luiz

For over five years, I’ve been capturing landscapes, portraits, and lifestyle moments through digital photography. Based in Honolulu, Hawaiʻi, and originally from Belo Horizonte, Brazil, I’m a fully self-taught photographer and a lifelong student of both art and the world around me.

My work is deeply inspired by nature: its raw beauty, ever-changing light, and the quiet ways it connects us to one another. I’m especially drawn to natural landscapes and candid human moments, aiming to capture people as they truly are. Through vibrant colors, dramatic tones, and immersive compositions, I strive to create images that feel transporting, like stepping into a memory or a place you’ve never been, yet somehow recognize.

Photography, to me, is a way of preserving fleeting moments. The same place is never truly the same twice, and every image holds something unique that will never exist again. My goal is to reveal the beauty in those passing moments and hold onto them, creating something timeless.

I feel incredibly grateful to document places and perspectives that not everyone has the chance to experience. Through my lens, I hope to share not just what I see, but how I feel, inviting others to connect more deeply with the world, with each other, and with the beauty that surrounds us every day.
